El futuro perfecto en inglés
Futuro perfecto (Future perfect): lo que ya habrá pasado en un momento del futuro. Por ejemplo: I will have finished.
Para qué sirve
- Lo que ya habrá pasado en un momento del futuro: By Friday I will have finished the report.
- Un plazo, «para entonces»: By next year she will have learned English.
- Lo que aún no habrá pasado: By ten we won't have eaten yet.
- Cuánto llevarás haciendo algo en un momento futuro, con for: By June I will have worked here for ten years.
Cómo se forma
| Frase | Estructura | Ejemplos |
|---|---|---|
| Afirmativa | sujeto + will have + participio | I will have worked. She will have worked. |
| Negativa | sujeto + won't have + participio | I won't have worked. They won't have worked. |
| Pregunta | Will + sujeto + have + participio? | Will you have worked? Will she have worked? |
Palabras que lo delatan
Si ves estas palabras en una frase, es una pista de que hace falta el futuro perfecto:
- by Friday
- by next year
- by the time…
- by then
- by the end of
- before
Errores típicos de hispanohablantes
By Friday I will finish the report.→ By Friday I will have finished the report.Con «by» y un momento futuro, lo que ya estará hecho va en future perfect: will have + participio.I will have went home by eight.→ I will have gone home by eight.Después de will have va el participio, no el pasado: gone, seen, done, no went, saw, did.By next year I will have learn English.→ By next year I will have learned English.Después de will have va el participio (learned), no la forma base.
